What is micro-specialization?
Micro-specialization is combination of four courses that provide students with hands-on knowledge in focused research field. Acquired knowledge will provide the student with foundation for future advance research in the field. In addition, it will complete equip the student with silks needed for relevant industry position, including conducting its own research and publishing research results in peer-review journals.
Do I need to take courses in specific order?
Course Health Metrics, Study Design, and Evidence Based Medicine is obligatory for all micro-specializations and it must be passed in order for student to continue with any other course in micro-specialization track. This course is foundational and without in depth understanding of course materials all other courses can not be fully digest. If you take individual courses in another order without starting with foundational course, the micro-specialization can not be claimed afterwords.
What are the course formats?
All courses are on demand. That provides students with full flexibility toward earning course certificate. Course can be started at any time during the year, but student need to finish them and take final exam at the end of week eight. However, it is possible to make extensions on the case to case basis.
How long are courses and how much time I need to earn certificate ?
All courses are eight weeks in duration. Although, the number of hours needed for the course can differ depending on pre-knowledge, the courses are developed under assumptions that students will have full time employment during the course and they are taking the course on top of their working hours.
